In Response to the Republicans Go-Ahead on Cabinet Meetings

According to an article posted by the New York Times and Samantha (a fellow DBU government student), the Republicans have stated that they will go ahead and begin to have cabinet meetings on Tuesday the tenth of January. Samantha detailed how this article intrigued her due to her interest and following of the most recent election, and how while many Democrats are complaining about the Republicans vast amount of power in both the executive and legislative branches.

After reading Samantha's post, I agree with her that while there are many parts of government complaining about who has all of the power, we as Christians know who really has all of the power and control over every aspect of our government and that is God. While who's in office can determine what kind of policies and laws are implemented, changing various aspects of our country, I know that as a Christian I can have peace knowing the God who created the universe has everything under control, even our government.

With that, even when the Republicans have power or Democrats complain, Christians are at a peace of mind.

God is in control of our government if the nation has given him the place to do so. If God is all sovereign over everything and our governments, then He is control of the bad things that happen as well. I am careful with how I chose to make that statement, because I don't believe He is in control of everything. Those who are not believers of God and have not received His son Jesus as their Savior, are not under His dominion and guidance. Only those who are children of God are. Jesus Christ paid the price but the nations have to yield the dominion and rule to God. We want God to be in control of our Government, therefore we elect officials who fear the Lord and want to implement Godly laws. I believe we are headed in the right direction. As long as Trump is fearful of the Lord and open to Godly counsel, we can ensure he will bring this nation under God again. Since the elections and the results, I am peaceful and hopeful for the turnout of this Nation. Hopefully the group Donald Trump has chosen to advise him truly love the Lord and His Word and commands. (This is my personal opinion! Not at all against what anyone has said, this is just how I view things.)
