This evening I read a post by a fellow DBU classmate that talked about Mr. Obama's farewell speech and the major points he spoke on. One main point my classmate stated was that Mr. Obama stated he would continue to serve our country regardless of him being in the presidential seat. I really loved hearing this statement from our past president because it shows true dedication to our country, which I believe we need more of in our country and its leaders.
In addition, I also was interested in hearing about my classmates views on Obama care and how it has truly affected our nation. Being my mother works in health care, I have seen the effects of Obama care on families and I agree with my classmate that it is very hard for people to truly get the medical help they need due to Obama care. Therefore, I believe that maybe a solution will come through our new president, Donald Trump, but personally as a Christian I believe we should find some way to take care of the people who need this type of care the most. God asks of us to take care of others that are less fortunate than us and love like he does, so I hope that our government can create some type of new healthcare that allows for this to be done. Overall though, I commend Mr. Obama for serving for our country for two years and I look forward to seeing how he will continue to serve our country in the future.
