These new transgender guidelines have me on the edge. I can'y tell whether students in public schools are going to safe or harmed and confused. The sister inside on me wants to scream "Why?!" Enforcing this transgender restrooms and locker rooms in public schools has brought such hazard to many of the student's safety. Not everyone has the title of "transgender" some are biological girls and boys. Their rights are not being protected by this policy being passed down. Also, the fact that that Obama is willing is to take away federal money from public schools for not following this regulation is obscured! School districts should have a say in whether they want to in put this policy in their schools. The presidency has corrupted our schools and ways of life and something needs to be done.

It scares me to think that while culture today is so adamant about equality regarding the transgender issue, that they are taking away the rights of biological male and female students to where they are made uncomfortable in these situations. The public school system should seek to protect and provide for all of its students, not just those who are currently coming forward believing that they were assigned an "incorrect" gender.  It should be to the discrepancy of the school on whether or not they allow transgender students to select their own preferred locker or restroom. This issue should be handled on a case by case basis without a generalization of today's modern public school system.
