After Campaign Texas GOP reaches unity

This presidential election has been one of the most tumultuous that I can ever recall. So many candidates to choose from and so many of them strong competitors fighting for the top spot, especially on the Republican side. Only one can become the presidential candidate. Now that it appears Donald Trump will be the official presidential candidate the Republican party is reeling and, in some cases angry and acting like spoiled children. I'm disappointed that my candidate

didn't win,  but what really bothers me is the way the some of the rejected candidates and their supporters are acting. Threatening to not support the candidate and even encouraging people to stay home on election day. As Americans it is our privilege and responsibility to stay involved. We can't check out for this election. There is too much at stake. We need to keep working together, striving to find a common ground. Even if we don't support the views of the candidates at first glance. We need to dig deeper and find which one is more closely in agreement with our beliefs and support that person. and we need to pray for them that they will realize that they need to look to God for as they lead, and that God will give them a clear vision for the decisions they will have to make. To the Republicans who are angry about the choice I will remind them, the people have spoken, now quit your whining and get to work.

This is only my second time being able to elect a president, and I have to say thing. This presidential election has been a bubble buster for many of us. I'm not saying that I agree with any of the running candidates, but the American people must elect someone or we will be left in chaos. It is not ethical of the rejected candidates to spread word to no support because eventually the person they don't want elected will win. The American people definitely need to continue praying for our future leaders of this country. It is time to rise up and defend what we believe in and pray for peace!

This presidential election has been one of the most rigorous. Out of all the possible candidates we are down to our final two, Trump and Hillary. For the most part their policies are complete opposites. I agree with what Anette says on needing to stay involved. Just because the person we voted for in the primaries didn't make it to the nominee of their party does not give us the green light to check out of the election as a whole. Someone will be the President and it is our obligation as citizens of this great country to vote them in. Not voting is still a vote. We need to stick together as a country and vote. Being Christians we need to pray and about who to vote for. Politicians can't continue allowing their feelings to get the best of them. During the campaign things will get said about one another and you can't let that get the best of you. Politicians of each party, at a minimum, need to support each other and not encourage the public to "vote their conscience". They need to properly endorse the people they want in office, uniting the party, working towards uniting the country. At the end of the day we need to pray that God puts it on our hearts to elect the right man or woman in office.
