Liberty Cities

The City of Von Ormy decided to incorporate in order to avoid being annexed into San Antonio. They adopted the Liberty City idea, which calls for a low impact government. There are to be low regulations, next to no taxation, and budgeted to stay out of debt. The experiment turned out to be a disaster and two years later it is an entirely dysfunctional system. This city goes to show that a strict libertarian approach to city management can not be sustained in the current climate. The city could not attract business and refused to take on debt to pay for basic services.
